The concept of corruption and its manifestations in the sphere of personnel management

Abstract. This study is devoted to the topical problem of corruption in the field of human resources management. The first part of the article considers the definition of corruption in terms of both Russian legislation and international standards. The second part of the article analyses the typology of corrupt practices in the HR sphere, including bribery in recruitment and selection, corruption in employee evaluation and promotion, corruption in personnel training and development, as well as corruption in dismissal and reduction of personnel. The third part of the article analyses in detail the factors contributing to corruption in organisations, focusing on socio-economic, organisational and managerial, legal, moral and ideological and socio-psychological aspects.
